Bid A at $56,000.00 and Bid B at $61,000.00 The Borough of Irwin is accepting bids for the contract to perform maintenance on the roof of the Borough of Irwin Municipal Office Building, located at 424 Main Street, Irwin, PA 15642. Bids will be accepted As a Bid A and Bid B. Bid A is to replace the roof membrane with the existing fire horn remaining and Bid B is to remove the fire horn and then replace the roof membrane. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids deemed not to be in the best interest of the Borough. No bid may be withdrawn prior to 60 days after the date fixed for bid opening or prior to the award of the contract, whichever occurs first. RoofMaintenance Contract Bid -Technical Specifications Bid A BidB All work under both bids to be performed in a workmanlike manner in conformity with roofing industry standards. o Remove the existing rubber membrane, pipe boots and flashing effected by the membrane removal. o Remove the existing siren and supporting structure, then install plywood or OSB deck board and vapor control barrier to cover and secure any gap created by the removal ofthe siren structure. o Install !4 inch insulation over the existing insulation. Versico or similar brand insulation required. o Adhere 60 mill rubber membrane over entire roof and over parapet walls. Versico or similar brand membrane required. o Install new pipe boots on the vent pipes. o Flash around the hatch door and siren curb. o Install flashing along the three walls ofthe building, down to the existing gutter. o Flashing to be .032 gauge aluminum. o All membrane, pipe boots, flashing and all other materials removed from the structure, as well as debris created by the contractor shall be removed and appropriately disposed of. o Remove the existing rubber membrane, pipe boots and flashing effected by the membrane removal. o Install Vi inch insulation over the existing insulation.
