Ridgeland Tennis Center Lighting System Improvements City of Ridgeland, Madison County, Mississippi Bids are to be made to provide the work required within this project consisting of delivery and installation of a new LED lighting system to replace the existing lighting system on all 17 tennis courts at the Ridgeland Tennis Center by installing new lighting equipment onto existing structures utilizing existing foundations, poles, underground supply wiring, and control system cabinets. Bids shall provide all labor, materials, and other work necessary to complete the above project as provided for on the Bid Form and as specified in the Contract Documents. The Total Contract Time will be 150-CALENDAR DAYS and the liquidated damages will be assessed at a rate of $250.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided and deposited with Ridgeland City Hall, Ridgeland, Mississippi prior to the hour and date above designated. All Bids must be submitted, in duplicate, in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the project designation, bidder's name, address, and Certificate of Responsibility Number. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Ridgeland, Mississippi as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the City of Ridgeland. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Contract award will be made to the lowest and best bidder offering the low aggregate amount for the base bid item, plus additive or deductive bid alternates applied in the order which is most beneficial to the Owner, and within funds available for the project. The City of Ridgeland, Mississippi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion or national origin in consideration for an award. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities.
