Renovation of a municipal facility in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time. KCWA has awarded a separate contract for the construction of its new Operations Facility. The Operations Facility will include a 16,000 square foot administrative building, attached 30,000 square foot prefabricated metal garage, fueling area, asphalt parking, site improvements and utilities. The selected offeror will be required to design, fabricate, furnish, install, commission, interconnect, and operate and maintain roof-mounted solar PV electric generating systems on the roofs of the prefabricated metal garage, carport overhang attached to the prefabricated metal garage, and the covered material storage structure of the Operations Facility. The complete PV Systems must, at a minimum, be sized at 578 kW DC and produce no less than 665,000 kWh annually. The scope of work includes a turn-key procurement, installation, and operations and maintenance of the complete solar PV Systems, including, but not limited to, any necessary structural analysis, electrical studies, utility interconnect agreements, and permitting. The selected offeror will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds for the full value of the contract price by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Rhode Island and whose name appears on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570. Questions concerning this Request and Advertisement for Proposals must be received by KCWA at kcwa@copacity.com no later than WEDNESDAY, February 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Responses to questions received after this time will not be provided.
