Site work for a water / sewer project in Wilmette, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sewer lining is a non-invasive technique to rehabilitate sewers by eliminating infiltration, structural defects, and root intrusion. Many of the sewers in the Village were installed 100+ years ago, including many of the large diameter sewers (30" or larger). This is especially true of sewers in the combined sewer system that is east of Ridge Road. There are approximately 130,000 linear feet of large diameter sewers throughout the Village. As of January 23, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. This project is in included in the Village of Wilmette's FY 2023-2032 Budget CIP and funding allotted for 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
