Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Southgate Recreation & Park District ("District") is inviting informal bids for this Project. The scope of work consists, in general, of furnishing all permits, materials, labor, services, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, management and superintendence and all else necessary. Tasks associated with this work include, but are not limited to, the following 1. Temporary construction fencing to secure project work area (basketball, playground, and turf areas to remain open, as feasible). 2. Demolition and reconstruction of a raised stage and concrete plaza and associated grading, paving, curbs, handrail, and flatwork. 3. Minor landscaping and irrigation improvements/adjustments. 4. Site furnishing relocation, storage, and placement/installation (excluding shade structures). 5. Modification of the existing electrical system, new electrical conduit installation, and existing outlet relocation and modification. 6. Coordinate with all contractors, including those retained by the District. 7. Additive Alternate: Load and transport from local District storage to project site, offload, and install two (2) owner-supplied shade structures. Installation shall include structure assembly, footing construction, electrical conduit sweeps through footings, and any other related work associated with the structures (note: special inspections to be performed by District-retained engineer. Structures shipping date anticipated in February or March 2023). You may visit the site during normal business hours. To the extent allowed by law, District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding procedure. District specifically reserves the right to not award the Agreement after the opening of bids In connection with the performance of this Agreement, full compliance with all applicable safety and health standards and with all applicable laws and regulations concerning Equal Employment Opportunity and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be required. District herby notifies all Bidders that it is the policy of the District to ensure non-discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in the award and administration of contracts that it awards. Bidders and their proposed subcontractors shall hold such licenses as may be required by the laws of the State of California for the performance of the work specified in the Contract Documents. The Contractor will also be required to ensure that all subcontractors working on this project are holding valid licenses suitable for their trade. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the successful Bidder may submit certain securities in lieu of District withholding retention of payments during the Project. This project is partially funded via Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) federal funding administered by the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA). For Projects over $25,000, Contractor shall, at their expense, furnish Payment Bonds, in amounts not less than 100% of the Bid. Contractor shall, at its expense, procure and maintain insurance on all of its operations, in companies admitted and qualified in California, having a minimum A.M. Best rating of A-VII, and acceptable to District, and satisfying all requirements of the District's Agreement. Contract Documents include Agreement, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Prevailing Wages, Insurance Requirements, Bid (as supplied by Bidder), and Contract Bonds. Sample District documents are available upon request.
