Site work and new construction of a residential development in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a 80,000-square-foot residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The approximately 80,000 square-foot site (1.7 acres) is trapezoidal in shape. It begins at the southeast corner of the intersection of Main Street and Congress Street. Running southward from that corner, it continues along Main Street down (passing Chapel Street) to Gold Street. From the corner at Gold Street, it then extends eastward (crossing Middle Street) down to Housatonic Avenue (also known as Water Street). It then runs north along Housatonic Avenue back to Congress Street and then west back to Main. The City of Bridgeport, acting through its Office of Planning and Economic Development (OPED), seeks written, sealed proposals from developers interested in redeveloping the Davison Block into a residential (mixed-use) site. Questions and answers, as they may arise during site tours will be uploaded in writing to immediately after such tours. Any further questions shall be submitted in writing through no later than 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1st. Responses to the questions will be posted on no later than 2 p.m. on Friday, March 3rd.
