The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in specifications. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the specifications, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the County. The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and and other incidental work for: Branch Center Well (W-11) rehabilitation located at 4000 Branch Center, Sacramento, CA 95827. The rehabilitation includes but is not limited to converting the well from a vertical turbine pump to a submersible pump; downhole video surveys; performing a gyroscopic survey; brush; swabbing; air lifting; bailing; replacing column pipe; and installing two access tubes. During the swabbing process, the ability to pump at a variable rate, log sand production, log draw down, and measure the instantaneous flow is required. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining a Water Well Construction/Repair & Pump Repair/Replacement Permit. A copy of the application is Attachment F. An approved permit is required before any work can proceed. Question Deadline 02/06/2023 at 2:00 PM PT The successful bidder shall be required to execute a material and labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Pursuant to Public Contract Code, section 22300, the Contractor may, at its own expense, substitute securities for any money being withheld by the County to ensure performance under this contract. The Contractor must notify the County of its intent to pursue this option prior to the issuance/execution of a contract. Liquidated damages :- Liquidated Damages for Delay of the Standard Construction Specifications, the liquidated damages for this contract shall be one thousand-two hundred dollars ($1,200) per calendar day.
