This project consists of reconstruction of the Simpson Road South Section (Segments 3) from 2-lanes to a divided 4-lane roadway including a 26-foot median and a 10-foot shared use path for bicycles and pedestrians on each side of the roadway. The project length is 1.13 miles from US 192 to South of the Fortune Simpson Road Improvement Project (FPID 443548-1. This project excludes the bridge over the Florida Turnpike (SR 91) that will be replaced by Florida's Turnpike Enterprise with a 4-lane bridge. Modification of 2 existing ponds are included in the Project's design, as well as upgraded signalized intersections, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components, and areas preserved for landscaping. The Toho Water Authority (TWA) portion of this project consists of the installation of water, reclaimed, and force main relocations along Simpson Road, Osceola County, Florida. The project includes relocation of TWA existing utilities as shown to avoid conflicts with the proposed County roadway project. The project includes approximately 2,700 LF of water main ranging in size from 1" to 30", approximately 900 LF of reclaim water ranging in size from 6" to 8", approximately 4,900 LF of PVC force main ranging from 4" to 16". The project includes approximately 2,800 LF (total) of directional drilling of 30" and 42" WM and FM. This project also includes the removal and/or abandonment of approximately 21,000 LF water main, reclaim water, and force main along the project limits.
