Renovation of a detention facility in Marienville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, replacement of the lighting controls, PLC's, and BAS systems throughout the facility in their entirety. The project shall provide the most effective & efficient systems possible with the least cost possible. The project will replace the existing Microlite Relay Panel Lighting Controls System with a new lighting controls system and replace the existing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) with new PLC's. It will also replace the existing Building Automation System (BAS) with a new BAS. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $5,800,000.00. Note that the requirements vary per site, and some agencies may have more stringent requirements. The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for THURSDAY, March 16, 2023 AT 10:00 AM. The Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Applicants now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. The Goals for SDB participation: 14% The Goals for VBE participation: 3% ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS The following information will need to be provided: detailed resumes for key design and management personnel with references; the firm's approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks and scope of services, and an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; a detailed description from the firm's portfolio of a project that illustrates the firm's ability to translate design intentions into a solution that meets the client's needs and expectations; an organizational chart and detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles and percent of time assigned to the project; an explanation of how the firm assures high quality bidding documents; examples of relevant projects completed by the lead design professional and key personnel, with contact information for references for these projects; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that may be required; a description of how diversity will be accomplished within the team; evidence of financial capability; a list of professional liability claims and/or legal actions within the last ten years and a non-binding fee proposal.
