This contractor shall furnish all labour, materials and equipment necessary to remove all existing membrane roofs and to complete all carpentry metal flashing and membrane application as specified herein. NOTE: All existing membrane roofing and materials are to be removed to deck. It is the intent of this contract to reroof all flat roof areas noted on the attached roof plan. It is also the intent of this contract to provide a new 2-ply SBS roof over 1 layer of asphalt overlay board, polyiso insulation and vapour barrier adhered to the deck. 1. Remove and dispose of off site all roof membrane, leads, metal vents, drains, metal flashings and cants to the level of the top layer of insulation. 2. Broom clean and fully dry the existing surfaces. 3. Replace any damaged insulation. 4. Loosen bottom edge of any wall cladding to allow membrane stripping to be installed. 5. The Contractor is responsible for disconnect and reconnect all lines to roof top units to allow for roofing application.
