As of February 17, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The City of Waynesboro is seeking bids for construction of a waterline stream crossing. Separate sealed Bids for the South River Water Line Stream Crossing Project for the City of Waynesboro (a.k.a. "City" or "Owner"), Virginia, which consists of the installation of approximately 170 feet of 10- inch water line (pipe will be provided by the City), and other associated appurtenances, (approximately 95 feet of water line will occur in the South River and will be required to be encased in concrete). Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder meeting the requirements of the solicitation. The City of Waynesboro reserves the right to conduct any tests it may deem advisable and to make all evaluations. The City of Waynesboro also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest. Withdrawal of bids shall be according to procedure (i) of the Virginia Public Procurement Act and to the Code of Virginia ( 2.2-4330(B)(1)). Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding. All bids shall be in a sealed envelope and clearly marked in the lower corner: "IFB South River Water Line Stream Crossing". Bids sent by U.S. Mail or other carrier that requires the use of a proprietary mailing envelope shall be in a sealed envelope INSIDE the proprietary mailing envelope. The return address area of the sealed bid envelope should contain the legal company name, name of company contact, complete mailing address, and e-mail address of the Bidder.
