This project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 1.65 centerline miles of Gillespie Bridge Rd. and approximately 1.48 centerline miles of Obermiller Rd. Rehabilitation work shall include the targeted removal and replacement of existing concrete pavement panels, targeted milling of concrete pavement with filling of area with asphalt pavement, targeted milling and filling of existing asphalt shoulders, and targeted dig out repairs of asphalt shoulders. After repairs, main driving lanes will be scratch milled and receive an asphalt overlay. Shoulders will be swept and receive an asphalt overlay. Additional work includes traffic control, erosion control, guardrail removal and replacement, butt milling, and restoration. A certified check, treasurer's check or cashier's check, or a bidder's bond payable to the Owner for five percent of AMOUNT OF BID must be included with Bidder's Bid Response. If this proposal is accepted and the undersigned fails to execute the Contract and furnish a contract bond as required, then the proposal guaranty shall be forfeited to the Owner. All questions pertaining to the project must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Technical questions should be directed to the Project Manager. Contract Time: 60 Working Days. Holidays listed in the Annual Wage Order included in Appendix A of the Contract Documents will be utilized to track Working Days. Award will be made to the Bidder(s) whose offer(s) provide the greatest value to the County from the standpoint of suitability to purpose, quality, service, previous experience, price, lifecycle cost, ability to deliver, or for any other reason deemed by the County to be in the best interest of the County. Thus, the result will not be determined by price alone. The County will be seeking the least costly outcome that meets the County needs as interpreted by the County. The County also reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive informalities or irregularities. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages, as found by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of Missouri, shall be paid to all workers performing work under this Contract. The Contractor's bond shall include such provisions as will guarantee the faithful performance of the prevailing hourly wage rate as provided by the Contract.
