Public Utility District No. 1 of Whatcom County (Whatcom PUD) is requesting proposals For the furnishing of materials and supplies hereinafter described for the operation of the Whatcom PUD's water clarification plants at or near Ferndale, Washington. The period for this material supply is from February 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025. To ensure consideration, the bid must be enclosed in an envelope marked, "Sealed Bid: PAC - Chemical Supply 2023". The material and supplies are described as follows: PAC PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: (A) POLYALUMINUM CHLORIDE COAGULANT A medium to high basicity polyaluminum chloride coagulant. Current product is 20% actives, specific gravity 1.33+/- 0.03. Needs to meet and or exceed ISOPAC 8660, with pre approval of NEW chemical, with testing possible up to a year. All products must be approved for potable use. Deliveries are required within 5 days of order throughout the contract period. Minimum product shelf life shall be one year. Acceptable products are only those products which have been tested by Whatcom PUD and proven not to adversely affect Whatcom PUD's customer's processes. Whatcom PUD reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals, and to waive any informality in the bid or in the bidding process.
