Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Dayton, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of June 28, 2024, an architect has been selected and 90% of design is complete. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any ide regularities in a proposal, or to accept the proposal(s) which in the judgment of proper officials, is in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to accept a part or parts of a proposal unless otherwise restricted in the RFP or issue subsequent RFPs. The City reserves the right to approve or reject any sub-Contractors proposed for work under this proposal or waive any minor irregularities Neither the City nor Contractor shall be considered in default of this Agreement for delays in performance caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the non-performing party. For purposes of this Agreement, such circumstances include, but are not limited to, abnormal weather conditions; floods; earthquakes; fire; epidemics; war, riots, and other civil disturbances; strikes, lockouts, work slowdowns, and other labor disturbances; sabotage; judicial restraint; and inability to procure permits, licenses, or authorizations from any local, state, or federal agency for any of the supplies, materials, accesses, or services required to be provided by either the City or Contractor under this Agreement, provided the aforementioned circumstances are not due to the negligence or fault of the asserting party or any of its agents, employees, contractors, sub-contractors and/or representatives. The purpose of the project is to design improvements for a new Sports Complex including synthetic turf in-fields on all diamonds, add multi-purpose fields, add, and improve parking lots, improve LED sports lighting, basketball field house building, storage buildings, restrooms, adult fitness areas and kids' playground, and pedestrian walkways. The goal is to have a premier multi-use sporting complex that is focused on reduced maintenance and provides innovative technology. When the design has been approved by the Department of Recreation the design firm will assist the City of Dayton in bidding out construction services and oversee the project. Design a layout of improvements to the property. Before designing improvements, provide a digital report of findings of a historical site test of the property. Testing should provide information to determine if possible Native American remains are within the property boundaries. Provide a cost estimate of improvements described in layout. Provide an overall complex improvement plan and phasing plan. Provide construction oversight. Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents for the first phase of complex improvements. Provide ADA compliant access where applicable. Improve the safety and playability of the ballfields. Improve the customer experience. Incorporate sustainable design principles, natural landscapes, native plants, water quality best management practices, and ecosystem protection into design of this project. Provide designs that are durable, efficient, and require minimal maintenance. Question Deadline 06/16/2023 at 12:00 PM ET
