Conceptual plans call for the construction of a military facility; for site work for a military facility; for paving for a military facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The NCNG initiated design and construction of a 125,000 SF Aviation Maintenance Hangar and renovation of existing facilities at the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) #1 in Morrisville, NC. This project will address the existing issue of inadequate space by providing appropriate facilities for maintenance bays, supply facilities, allied trades space, and quality control. Construction will include all utility services, information systems, fire detection and alarm systems, roads, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, parking areas, and site improvements required for a complete and usable project. This project is contingent upon receipt of Federal funds. Initial design funds are expected in the third quarter of Federal Fiscal Year 2023 (April to June of Calendar Year 2023). These funds will support 100% design, through Construction Documents (CD). Proceeding with Bidding, Construction Administration, and Closeout will be contingent upon receipt of additional Federal funding, date TBD. Total Project Budget $45,000,000. The NCNG will provide DD 1390/91, master planning documents, and other related program documents that detail potential future force structure and work activities on the complex for the Designer to Develop and Evaluate Alternatives. As a federally funded, state executed project this project will follow both State and Federal guidelines.
