All questions should be directed to Teri Vetter, Chief Financial Officer, at tvetter@dawsoncreek.ca and must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to the closing date of the RFP - General Information 1.1 Introduction The City is seeking proposals from interested and qualified consultants for the provision of Asset Management Consulting Services for the purposes of developing a comprehensive Asset Management Plan inclusive of performance measures for asset lifecycle monitoring, expenditure tracking, reporting, and project accountability to ensure the City can continue to deliver sustainable amenities and services that contribute to quality of life. 1.2 Background Asset Management planning has been part of the City of Dawson Creek's strategic priority since 2015. In recent years, the City has completed some work in the area of Asset Management and has in place a list of all assets, types, historical costs, Net Book Value, year created and useful life remaining. The City has an established Asset Management Team consisting of Senior Management, Asset Managers, Finance and City Council. 1.3 Objective The objective of the RFP is to acquire an inter-departmental, cohesive and accessible Asset Management system, in line with the Asset Management Policy, that establishes a framework detailing the level of service, risk, financial planning and forecasting and results in best practices to support the Asset Management team and departmental staff as they strive to plan, oversee and maintain City infrastructure as it reaches its end of life. 1.4 Timing This project is expected to be awarded mid February 2023. The project would ideally be completed with the final report provided to City Council by the successful Proponent within a year of acceptance of the awarded contract
