**As of March 24,2023, this project has been awarded to Louie’s Trenching Service in the amount of $1,092,845.92. Contractors for work under this Bid will obligate Contractor and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. BID SECURITY: All bids must be accompanied by a bank draft, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the City of Galena for 10 percent of the total amount of the bid. PREVAILING WAGES: Minimum salaries and fringes to be paid on the contract(s) shall be in accordance with the prevailing wage rate scale established by the United States Department of Labor (DOL) and Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL), such wage rate determinations are included in the project specifications. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be the higher of the wage scale established by either the Federal or State wage rates. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and fringes as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on the contract, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or other protected class.
