Project Name: POE Truck Screening Kingman Project (TRACS) Number: F0589 01D District: Northwest Route/MP: US 93 MP 64.5 to MP 66 Funding Source: Federal Construction Funding FY: FY 2024 This project will improve vehicle weight and safety enforcement operations at the Kingman Port of Entry by installing new truck screening equipment on US 93. The truck screening equipment will be located near Milepost 64.5 and will include a camera to read the vehicle plate and DOT number, a vehicle overview camera, and a tire anomaly sensor. The work includes the installation of commercial vehicle lane restriction signs and pavement markings, commercial vehicle advisory signs, and ground mounted DMS devices for directing commercial vehicles. Design 1.5 miles of new conduit with fiber from the truck screening equipment site to the existing weigh-in-motion sensor cabinet located near the SR68 entrance ramp onto US 93. The consultant shall hold monthly progress meetings, as necessary, to ensure the project is on schedule and the team is resolving project issues. The consultant is expected to take proactive measures that mitigate risks and corrective action(s) should slippage of the schedule occur. Document retention, project schedule and risk register, and submittal uploads, and updates in the Workfront platform are required. All work is within the existing right-of-way. Survey efforts are anticipated to be minimal and available data will be made available to the consultant and will include utility designation. A Materials Design Report will NOT be produced, however, the consultant shall provide information required for an asphalt concrete mix design and construction specifications including, but not limited to, unit weight, percent binder, PG Grade, and application rates for the specified treatment. The consultant shall provide documentation and support to ADOT staff in securing the necessary environmental, utility, and Right of Way clearances for the project.
