Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Sidney, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
A. The Work of this Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. Complete all Work as described in the Drawings and Specifications. 2. New Roof work includes but is not limited to removal of roof system to existing roof deck, removal of suspected metal roofing material on roof area B. Removal includes roof penetrations and related equipment as indicated on drawings. New complete roofing system including roof membrane on masonry parapets, new metal coping on selected parapet sections, new aluminum wrapped fascia boards at gutters, misc. wood framing. 3. There is no electric or water in the building, contractor will need to provide alternate source of electric as needed. The City of Sidney will provide a fire hydrant meter to allow access for water on site. Goals for Minority Participation 7.4% Goals for Female Participation 6.9% The Project includes removal of roof system to existing deck, installation of new complete roofing system and associated work. Each bid must include the required submissions per the bid specification packet and must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount or by certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount. A 100% Performance Bond will be required after the contract is awarded to cover the installation period. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Any and all questions regarding the Sidney Historic Theatre Re-Roof CDBG A-D-21-2DR-1 project must be submitted via email to bdulworth@sidneyoh.com using the subject line Sidney Historic Theatre Re-Roof CDBG A- D-21-2DR-1 bid question no later than Monday, March 13, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. There will be no responses to questions after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Sidney reserves the right to waive any irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the bidder deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Sidney, as determined by the City Manager. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $223,000.
