The Forestry & Horticulture Section for the City of Hamilton requires watering services for newly installed trees. The Contract requires the Successful Bidder to provide all materials, labour, vehicles, and equipment necessary to perform the Work, including pick-up and drop-off of the slow release watering bags, installation of the slow release watering bags in locations identified by the City, filling of the slow release watering bags with water on a prescribed schedule, maintenance of the slow release watering bags, as needed, and removal of the slow release watering bags. This Work will commence on approximately May 30th, depending on weather conditions, and will continue as weather requires up to and including approximately October 15th of the Contract year. Bidders are advised of the following contract requirements for this Request for Tenders: There is no bid security, performance security or labour and material payment security required for this Request for Tenders. The City reserves the right to request, prior to the award of the Contract, proof that a Bidder is in compliance with the municipal zoning by-laws within the City of Hamilton regarding the property(ies) at which the Bidder is proposing to: (a) operate its snow removal or landscaping business to provide the services described in this Tender; and (b) store its equipment to be used in providing the services described in this Tender. The Bidder shall provide such proof in the form of a Certificate of Zoning Verification and Property Report ("Certificate") issued by the City of Hamilton Building Division for each property. Failure of the Bidder to provide the City's Procurement Section Office with proof in the form of a Certificate(s) within ten Business Days of request by the City will result in the rejection of the Bidder's Bid. Each Certificate shall have an issuance date of no more than 30 days prior to the closing date of this Tender. There are no scheduled site meetings for this Request for Tenders. n accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (ODA) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), the City of Hamilton will accommodate for a disability, ensuring full and equitable participation throughout the bid process. If a Bidder requires this Request for Tenders in a different format to accommodate a disability, the Bidder must contact the Procurement Specialist as soon as possible and in any event prior to the closing date. The Request for Tenders in the different format will be issued only to the requesting Bidder and all Addenda will be issued in such different format only to the requesting Bidder. This Request for Tenders is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
