Site work for a municipal facility in Lovell, Maine. Conceptual plans call for site work for a 20,000-square-foot, 20-space municipal facility.
The Town of Lovell is seeking sealed proposals from qualified Landscape Architect/Civil Engineers, to design a landscape plan that shields a proposed commercial structure from public view The property is located at 699 Main St. Lovell, Me. Map R07-038. Lovell Ordinance Article 7.6 Landscaping. A. The landscape shall be preserved in its natural state insofar as practical, by minimizing tree removal and grade changes in keeping with the general appearance of neighboring developed areas. Landscaping shall be designed to soften, screen, or enhance the physical design of structures and parking areas to avoid the encroachment of the proposed use on abutting land uses. All parking lots shall be landscaped along the property boundaries with shrubbery, trees and other landscape materials. Parking lots larger than 20,000 square feet in area shall provide a 2 1/2" caliper shade tree per 20 parking spaces (6 trees per acre) located at representative points throughout the lot. The Town of Lovell has the right to accept or reject any or all proposals should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
