Renovation of an educational facility in Plainfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of April 3, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Bank Draft in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to Plainfield Community Consolidated School District No. 202. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the bids opening date without the consent of the Owner. Checks or drafts of unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practical after opening and checking the bids. Successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract, acceptable to the Owner. This Contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et.seq.). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. 1. RAISE AND LEVEL EXISTING CONCRETE SLABS-ON-GROUND BY SLAB JACKING AND FILL UNDER SLAB VOIDS AS NECESSARY. WORK TO INCLUDE CUTTING AND PATCHING OF THE FLOOR SLABS AND VAPOR RETARDER, AND RESTORATION OF ALL AFFECTED FLOOR AND TRIM FINISHES. 2. RE-ESTABLISH CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT WALL BEARING ON SUPPORTING SLAB. WORK TO INCLUDE REMOVAL OF EXISTING TILE AND BASE TRIM AND REPLACEMENT OF ALL AFFECTED FLOOR AND TRIM FINISHES. 3. REPAIR CRACKED INTERIOR CONCRETE FLOOR SLABS WITH GRAVITY FEED EPOXY OR SEMI-RIGID JOINT FILLER. 4. REMOVE AND REPLACE DETERIORATED EXTERIOR CONCRETE SIDEWALK SLABS. 5. WORK TO INCLUDE REMOVAL OF EXISTING TILE, CARPET, AND/OR BASE TRIM, PREPARATION OF FLOOR SLAB AS SPECIFIED, ADJUSTMENT OF EXISTING PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, AND OTHER FIXTURES, AND REPLACEMENT OF ALL AFFECTED FLOOR AND TRIM FINISHES. 6. REPLACE CRACKED AND SPALLED CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS ON INTERIOR WALLS. 7. GRIND AND REPOINT CRACKED AND DEBONDED CONCRETE MASONRY JOINTS ON INTERIOR WALLS. 8. REMOVE AND REPLACE FAILED SEALANTS OR INSTALL NEW SEALANT ON INTERIOR WALLS, DOORS, AND WINDOWS. 9. INSTALL NEW CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT VERTICAL CONTROL JOINTS ON INTERIOR WALLS. 10. REPLACE CRACKED AND SPALLED BRICK MASONRY UNITS ON EXTERIOR WALLS. 11. GRIND AND REPOINT CRACKED AND DEBONDED BRICK MASONRY JOINTS ON EXTERIOR WALLS. 12. REMOVE AND REPLACE FAILED WINDOW, DOOR, AND OTHER SEALANT ON EXTERIOR WALLS. 13. PAINT REPAIRED INTERIOR FINISHES/ELEMENTS TO MATCH EXISTING. 14. ADJUST, REPAIR, OR REPLACE INTERIOR DOORS TO RESTORE FUNCTION. 15. INSTALL SECOND FLOOR SLAB CONNECTION AT BUILDING END WALLS. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
