The Project includes replacement of existing fire alarm systems and associated electrical/low voltage and finish and patching work as indicated in the Specifications and Drawings. Replacing the existing fire alarm systems throughout Knight Library, 1501 Kincaid St Eugene, OR 97403 . The Work contemplated in this document shall be for the Owner in connection with the Project described in the Project Manual. The Work contemplated under this Contract includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and services for, and incidental to, the completion of all construction work in connection with any Project described in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall perform all Work necessary so that the Project can be legally occupied and fully used for the intended use as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Owner will provide the successful Bidder with Contract Documents within 10 calendar days after the award of the Contract. The Bidder shall be required to execute the Contract as provided, including a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond from a surety company licensed to do surety business in the State of Oregon, within 20 calendar days after the award of the Contract. The Contract Documents shall be delivered to the Owner in accordance with Owner's policies and procedures. Clarifying questions must be submitted to Janell Cottam (Owners Representative) via email at janellc@uoregon.edu. The last day for submitting clarifying questions will be February 2nd, 2023 at 2:00pm (PST). Responses to all clarifying questions will be issued through addendum. Responses to questions submitted after this date and time will be at sole discretion of Owners Representative. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Bids and to waive minor informalities. The Owner reserves the right to hold the Bid of the three lowest Bidders for a period of 30 calendar days from the time of Bid opening pending award of the Contract.In determining the lowest Bidder, the Owner reserves the right to take into consideration any or all authorized Bids as well as alternates or combinations indicated in the Bid form.If Owner has not accepted a Bid within 30 calendar days after the opening of the Bids, each of the three lowest Bidders may withdraw the Bid submitted.
