This site is on the Bienville National Forest in Jasper County, Mississippi. The project location is 12.1 miles East of Highway 35 on Morton-Marathon Road FSR 506. Road 506 is an aggregate surfaced road at the culvert sites. Excavate out displaced 48" CPP due to washout, reuse, reconnect to in-place 48" CPP and place at original inverts elevations and alignment. Any excavated material not suited for backfill is to be properly disposed of off national forest property. Use excavation borrow to fill in losses from washout and build up the roadbed elevation with compaction. A minimum 2' of excavation borrow shall be placed over and between the pipe culverts tapering back down to road elevations on the approaches. Place a minimum of 1' compacted layer of #610 (crusher run) crushed limestone aggregate over the built up roadbed. Grade the edges to pull all aggregate back into the travel way and leave a straight uniform edge, and grade the aggregate to create a smooth, uniform surface and compact. Place any excess borrow excavation and #610 as directed by the COR. 100 lb. riprap and geotextile shall be used on a uniform slope on the banks around the pipes not to exceed 2:1 slope steepness and also along the stream bottom and streambanks to form aprons to stabilize at the inlets and outlets of the pipes. Riprap shall be placed at a minimum thickness of 1.5'. Place some riprap within the pipe at the ends as directed by the COR.
