Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in La Grange, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,669-square-foot educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Sealed proposals for the following work will be received by the Oldham County Board of Education in the manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the construction of Oldham County Athletic Improvements - Bid Package B, for two bid packages listed below, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings prepared by RossTarrant Architects, Inc., 101 Old Lafayette Avenue, Lexington, Kentucky 40502. Bid Package B.1 - South Oldham High School Bid Package B.2 - Oldham County High School General Information: State Wage Rates are not applicable. Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.455 are absolutely prohibited. Preference for resident bidders shall be given as outlined in KRS 45A.90 to 45A.94. The successful bidder must supply a 100% Performance and Payment Bond as outlined in the Project Manual. Project Locations: South Oldham High School, 5901 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Crestwood, Kentucky 40014 Oldham County High School, 1150 KY-393, LaGrange, Kentucky 40031 Project Description: Work is divided between Bid Pack B.1, South Oldham High School (SOHS) and Bid Pack B.2, Oldham County High School (OCHS). The work at SOHS includes the development of a new entry plaza with Ticket Booth and entry gates, a new scoreboard/videoboard, the resurfacing of the existing 6-lane running track and D-zones, construction of new sidewalks and plazas to support a new ticket booth and modified home bleachers and the replacement of the visitor bleachers and associated pavements. The new Concessions building consists of a concessions room, public restrooms, and a locker room. It will be a masonry load bearing structure with metal beams and deck with a single-ply membrane roof, and brick veneer. Major systems include Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Voice/Data The work at OCHS includes the development of a new entry plaza with Ticket Booth and entry gates, the addition of sidewalks connecting the facility entrance to the home and visitor bleachers, the resurfacing of the 6-lane running track and D-zones, the construction of new shot put and discus events, and the redevelopment of the existing victory bell plaza. A new cushion running surface is being installed on the tracks at both facilities. Special Note: It is the Owner's intent to award two separate contracts for Bid Package B.1 and B.2. Contracts shall be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best lump sum bid. Bidders shall refer to the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders for post-bid submittal information. Special Note: Separate bid package bids shall be submitted in separate envelopes. The Project Manual contains a different Form of Proposal for each bid package. Each Form of Proposal shall be complete per the instructions on the form, and submitted prior to the time of the Bid. Corrections to information on the Bid must be initialed in order to be valid. A Form of Proposal incorrectly or insufficiently completed will not be considered. The Form of Proposal shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope with project name and bid package listed on the outside. Separate bid package bids shall be submitted in separate envelopes. A bid may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the Bidder for a period of (45) days after the designated time for receipt of Bids Addenda: The last date for the Architect to receive items to be addressed in any addenda is February 7, 2023 by 12:00 p.m. EST. All requests must be submitted to the Architect in writing Method of Receiving Bids: Bids will be received from Contractors for a Total Lump Sum Amount. All phases of the work shall be bid to and through the Contractor submitting the proposal. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of each proposal submitted must accompany each Proposal in accordance with the Form of Proposal. Right to Reject and Waiver: The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner or to reject any bid where evidence or information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents.
