The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: State Project 018995.56, WIN 18995.56. Location: In Aroostook County, project is located on State Route 159 beginning 5.13 miles East of the intersection of Route 11 and Route 159 and extending East 3 miles; on US Route IA beginning 1.82 miles North of East Ridge Road and extending North 6.35 miles; on State Route 161 beginning 0.81 miles North of the Caribou/Fort Fairfield town line and extending Northwest 4.08 miles & beginning 2.04 miles Northwest of the Stockholm town line and extending Northwest 7.32 miles. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids.
