Compensation Type: Fixed Rate of Compensation Q&A deadline: 02/08/2023 11:00 AM County(s): Statewide Airport Pavement Management Study (APMS) for Nevada Airports Nevada public-use airports are required to provide pavement condition study data to obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Grants for pavement projects every three (3) years. Generally, to qualify for FAA AIP (federal funds) for pavement work on airports, the results of a recent Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value must be provided by a neutral third party. FAA normally requests state agencies to perform these studies to provide uniformity and to obtain consistent data from airports under the local planning area. The overall objective of the project is to create the APMS database, reports, and web application, and to provide sound pavement repair recommendations based upon an objective, repeatable, and accepted assessment of pavement condition, best practices, and DEPARTMENT Aviation priorities. To comply with Airport Sponsor Grant Assurance 11, assuring the implementation of an effective pavement management system that will be used for the useful life of all pavements constructed, reconstructed, or repaired with federal assistance. To aid NDOT and airport sponsors in efficiently prioritizing pavement improvements making the best use of available funding. To establish an inspection schedule and provide a system of pavement inventory for record keeping and retrieval of pavement information making this data available to airport sponsors, engineers, and other users.
