Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Falls Church, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; and for the construction of a 24,000-square-foot, four-story above grade, 16-unit elderly care / assisted living facility.
Fairfax County is soliciting pre-bid qualifications for the construction of the Fairfax County Patrick Henry Place, located at 3080 Patrick Henry Drive, Falls Church, VA 22044. Please note that this is a readvertisement. Previous applicants that remain interested in this project are required to resubmit updated applications. Only firms that have been prequalified in accordance with the procedures stated in the Prequalification Application Instructions and Application to Prequalify will be eligible to submit bids for this project. Bids received from those who have not been prequalified will not be considered. Construction bids for this project are currently scheduled to be opened in October 2024. List construction projects currently being performed or performed during the past ten (10) years as outlined in Attachment B. Provide details on at least three of those projects completed within the past 7-years which are most similar in size, complexity, and scope to the proposed Project on the enclosed form Attachments B1, B2, B3, etc. to demonstrate conformance to minimum experience requirements described in Section 5C above. The subject project is the replacement of an existing shelter with a new facility on the same parcel. The construction will require demolition of the existing approximately 9500 sf Patrick Henry Shelter. The existing facility is a two-level structure with a single-level basement and nine apartments as well as administrative and support spaces. The new construction shall include a four-story structure with a basement level that is approximately 24,000 sf with associated site improvements on the 0.66-acre site. The new building footprint will be in the same relative location as the existing shelter and will consist of 16 apartments and service spaces. Major site work includes storm water management system, surface parking and a fenced outdoor gathering area with play structure. The new facility is designed to meet LEED v4 Silver Certification with sustainability features including infrastructure for future Photovoltaic Solar System and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Provide documentation from your Surety identifying Applicants total bonding capacity, individual job bonding capacity, and maximum the Applicant can be bonded on a single project. Provide Surety Statement as outlined in Attachment E. All questions concerning this Pre-qualification Application procedure shall be submitted in writing to the Director, Building Design and Construction Division, e-mail address: building@fairfaxcounty.gov, and to be given consideration, such questions and concerns must be received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the deadline for submittal of the Prequalification Application indicated in the Invitation to Apply for Pre-qualification
