Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Portage, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of April 20, 2023, project has been awarded The City of Portage invites interested Contractors to submit a sealed bid for an onetime contract for the asphalt overlay of the Haverhill Park tennis & basketball courts. The Department of Public Works is requesting bids for replacement of an existing tennis and basketball courts at Haverhill Park located at 6577 Hampton Street. The courts will be replaced with hot mix asphalt (HMA) 13A base course and a 36A limestone surface course. The tennis (121'L x 111'W) and basketball (110'L x 38'W) can be seen on . Contractor should measure field prior to submitting bid. Remove existing asphalt tennis and basketball courts at Haverhill Park. Add 6" of asphalt millings to the tennis and basketball court base. Remove only the south tennis court fencing wire netting, gates and posts. Hire for court painting. Reinstall new tennis court post and net systems. Provide top dirt and grass seed restoration upon project completion. Hire for south fencing netting, gate and post installation. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Maintenance Bond 25 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Bid Intent Deadline 02/20/2023 03:00 PM EST Question Acceptance Deadline 02/10/2023 05:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online No Work shall be completed by Saturday, June 3, 2023 -Contractor will furnish, install, and compact the surface wear course with 36A limestone HMA to a thickness of 1.5" while ensuring a slope of 0.8-1.0% side to side to ensure proper drainage for a playing surface of tennis (121'L x 111'W) and basketball (110'L x 38'W). During the application of the surface wear course, the contractor will check for proper slope to ensure water ponding does not occur on the court surface. -Furnish, install, & compact 1.5" 13A HMA base for a playing surface of tennis (121'L x 111'W) and basketball (110'L x 38'W)
