In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will be as described below: 4,085 lineal feet of 8" ductile iron water main, 890 lineal feet of 12" ductile iron water main, 13 fire hydrants, 8 water main tie-ins, reconnection of 81 existing water services to the proposed mains with new services and curb boxes, construction of concrete curb, sidewalk, drive apron, and catch basins, resurfacing of city streets, and other appurtenances necessary to complete the project. Any questions must be received by the Owner through e-mail no later than 2:00 pm, local time, on Monday, February 13, 2023 in order to provide an addendum to all plan holders. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is an Ohio Prevailing Wage project. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s). The criteria for which bids are to be evaluated includes but is not limited to pricing, lead time, and other market conditions.
