es, duplexes and fourplexes throughout Minneapolis. In 2020, MPHA completed a conversion of the subsidy for these units from public housing to a Section 8 project-based voucher. The conversion to project-based vouchers substantially increased the federal subsidy for these units. The MPHA has secured a General Contractor/Consultant (Frerichs Construction) to partner with MPHA on construction planning efforts, advise on work management and implementation to reduce risk and increase efficiency, assist with scope of work refinement, cost estimating, developing bid documents and construction services. The MPHA/Frerichs Construction shall complete approximately 100-150 turns per year with the MPHA overseeing the work that will be completed as part of this contract. Frerichs Construction shall oversee exterior work including but not limited to siding, windows, roofs, foundations, and flatwork as part of their GC/C contract with MPHA. Some of this work shall be completed in conjunction with the work completed under this contract. The Contractor must check-in upon arrival on-site and check-out upon completion with MPHA staff when performing services to determine the exact scope of the required task(s) and submit a completed work order(s).
