SCOPE OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES/ REQUIREMENTS: Vendor shall work between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday for day work and range between 8pm and 6am for the night work. No sweeping shall be permitted on weekends, or State Administered Holidays. The elimination of these days in no manner relieves the Contractor of hits obligation to provide scheduled sweeping frequency. MDOT/SHA estimates that there will be a minimum of three (3) consecutive workdays for the County the contractor will report to within each of the four counties within District 1. Contractor is responsible for their own safety and the safety of others. Contractor shall adhere to all MOSH or OSHA requirements. All Personal Protection equipment required by regulation shall be utilized. Materials shall be suitable for application and shall be approved on the qualified list for Maryland. All work under this Contract shall conform to the Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration's General Conditions for Highway Maintenance Contracts, dated February 2013; the Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration's Specifications entitled, "Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials" dated July 2022 revisions thereof, or additions thereto, using Part I - General Provisions: GP-2.06, GP-5, GP-7, and GP-8; Part II - Terms and Conditions: TC-4.02; and Part III - Technical Requirements as applicable; and the Special Provisions included in this Invitation for Bids. PRE-BID MEETING No Pre-Bid meeting will be held on this IFB. Site visits are highly encouraged to see all aspects that will impact the work to be performed by viewing the roadway conditions prior to bidding.
