The Project includes the following Work: installation of two (2) master meters and vaults, approximately 1,000 LF of water main, connections to existing mains, highway crossings, directional bore for creek crossing, and all associated appurtenances and miscellaneous items, including all other associated work, including all related appurtenances, clearing, grading, connections to existing utilities and other work for a complete installation. Question Deadline 02/01/2023 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing via email to mcurtis@bluegrassengineering.net and must be submitted to receive consideration seven days prior to the opening of bids. The Contract Time allotted for the completion of this contract is ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the Contractor is in full possession of the approved shop drawing materials for the approved master meters & meter vaults, and water main piping from the material supplier. The Contract Time allotted for the substantial completion of this Project has an expected duration of NINETY (90) consecutive calendar days after the date AS STATED ABOVE and ready for final payment within ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY (120) consecutive calendar days after the date AS STATED ABOVE. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of McKee in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid shall accompany the Bid. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. These include Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. Further, Title VI Minority bidders are encourage to bid. Bidders must certify they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated or based on race, color, creed, or national origin. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any bidding informalities and to reject any or all bids, to add to or delete from any part of the project, to construct any portion of the project or to construct the entire project, for any reason deemed advisable by the OWNER. The OWNER reserves the right, in the exercise of its sole judgment to reject any or all bids, and to re-advertise and award the contract in the regular manner or to waive any informalities, irregularities, mistakes, errors or omissions in any bid received and to accept any bid deemed to be responsive to this invitation and favorable to the interests of the owner. The award of the project will be to the low evaluated, best, responsive, responsible, and qualified BIDDER. Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid on this project.
