The City is in need of the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide pre-construction and construction services for roadway improvements to include a six lane arterial roadway with a center two-way turn lane along West Cactus Road between North Cotton Lane and North Reems Road.The City of Surprise intends to procure a Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) to construct the improvements described in Section 4 above. This project will be constructed pursuant to A.R.S. 34-601 et seq. The total project budget is $16,800,000. This budget is inclusive of ALL project costs including design, construction, permit fees, impact fees, Information Technology, Security etc. Estimated Project schedule: Planned date of design start: February/March 2023 Planned date of design completion: October 2023 Planned date of construction start: November 2023 Planned date of construction completion: November 2024. Anticipated Contract Award: March 2, 2023. This security must be in the possession of the City of Surprise, Procurement Division within the time specified or ten (10) days after notice of award if no period is specified. If the contractor fails to execute the security document as required, the contractor may be found in default and the contract terminated by the City. In case of default the City reserves all rights. The contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or any subcontractor for the performance of any work related to the contract. Payment security shall be in the amount of 100% of the total contract price and be payable to the City of Surprise. Payment security shall be in the form of a payment bond, certified check or cashier's check.
