Description: Contract No. 1 - Ditching of approximately 16,000 linear feet along South Shore Road, including moving material (approximately 12,100 cubic yards) within the site, reshaping of the ditches and shoulders on both sides of the road, installation of Class III Type D Turf Reinforcement Mat and Class II Type C Erosion Mat, erosion control, and traffic control. The 2023 South Shore Road Reconstruction is a Town Road Improvement Supplemental (TRIS) project. The TRIS is a component of the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP). Additional Description: There is no prevailing wage determination for this project. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner.
