As of March 31, 2023. The project has been awarded with the amount of $4,173,896.50. The City of Roswell is seeking GDOT Prequalified Contractors for Work Class: 400 - HOT MIX ASPHALTIC CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION and Work Class: 432 - MILL ASPHALT PAVEMENT. The project consists of resurfacing a total of 38 roads within the city of Roswell with a total area of 196,795 square yards of asphalt pavement and total length of 11.54 center line miles. Ninety (90) calendar days have been set aside for performance of the contract. The bid is a firm fixed price to complete the work based on the submitting contractor's understanding of the scope and assessment of the sites with a payment term of Net 30 days. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% is required. Payment and Performance bonds equal to 100% of the Awarded Contract value are required. The City of Roswell has the right to reject any or all bids; to award a contract in the best interest of the City and to waive technicalities and informalities. Any pre-bid conference for the Project, and its status as a mandatory or non-mandatory event, will be provided on, and held in accordance with the Project Schedule posted on the designated website - if posted as an event. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend mandatory pre-bid conferences. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Milling of the top 1 1/2 " of the existing surface 2. Patching distress areas as directed by city of Roswell inspectors with 440 LB/SY/IN 25mm Recycled asphalt concrete 3. Resurfacing with 165 LB/SY/IN 9.5mm Recycled Asphalt Concrete (20% maximum RAP) 4. Re-striping as existing or per city of Roswell inspector directions 5. Restoration of damaged traffic loops within seven days of milling OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS: 1. Open Graded Interlayer (OGI) may be required on some roads as directed by city of Roswell inspectors 2. Maximum time between milling and resurfacing not to exceed 72 hours 3. Work hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM 4. No lane closures are allowed before 9:00 AM or after 4:00 PM 5. Traffic control to be included in unit prices 6.
