The City of Broadview Heights, Ohio (hereinafter referred to as "City") is issuing this Invitation to Bid for Residential Solid Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling Services. The purpose of requesting bids is to contract with one (1) hauler who will provide weekly Curbside collection of Solid Waste and Recyclables for all Residential Units and to provide Recycling Processing Services and Solid Waste disposal services in the City. Bidders must submit one (1) original, one (1) duplicate copy and one (1) electronic copy of its Bid in one (1) sealed envelope clearly marked "RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION, DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING SERVICES
BID." Bids will be valid for one hundred eighty (180) days after the Bid opening date. Each Bid must contain all Bid Forms and be accompanied by a separate Bid Bond in the name of "City of Broadview Heights" in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the first year Bid price (collection only) as security that, if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into with the City in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Form of Contract contained in the Bid Documents. The Bid Bond will be returned when the Contract has been executed by the Successful Bidder, or when any Bid is, or all Bids are rejected. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and waive any non-conformities or irregularities contained therein. A request for an interpretation of the Bid Documents should be communicated electronically to David Schroedel, Director of Public Service, at DSchroedel@broadview-heights.org The term of the Contract will be for five (5) years with the option to extend the Contract for two (2) additional one-year renewal terms at the sole discretion of the City. The initial term of the Contract will commence on August 1, 2023 and will terminate on July 31, 2028.
