Renovation of a mixed-use development in Richardson, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and 83,576-square-foot library.
Plans call for public library renovation including interior steel girders are currently being installed. These girders will provide structural support within the existing building as more space is added to the library. Additionally, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work in the basement is ongoing and nearly complete, and interior sheet rock walls are going up. The portions of the heating and air conditioning systems are also being installed. Once complete, the library’s footprint will be increased from its previous 71,583 square feet to 83,576 square feet. The video of a steel girder being installed. As of January 20, 2026, the project remains under construction, with completion anticipated in the early first quarter of 2026. The firm timelines have not yet been released.
