Renovation of a municipal facility in Danbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Furnish and Install Two (2) - 2-Ton Electric Chain Hoists with Motorized Trolleys The City of Danbury is an equal opportunity and affirmative action purchaser, and bids from all vendors, including those from enterprises owned by minorities and women, are encouraged. The City of Danbury reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, and unless specified otherwise, to award the contract within thirty working days to the Bidder deemed to be for the best interest of the City of Danbury. SCOPE Pursuant to and in accordance with the Invitation to Bid, Instructions to Bidders, and specifications relating thereto, the undersigned agrees to furnish and install two (2) each 2-Ton Electric Motor Chain Hoist, with Electric Motor Trolley, and all pertinent materials, tools and supplies required for a complete installation on the existing beams found in Garage No. 4, at the Public Works Complex, 53 Newtown Road, per all pertinent local, state and federal regulations that may apply, and as per the following detailed specifications; The two (2), 2-ton hoist/trolleys are to be installed on existing wide flange beams that have the approximate dimensions 4" flange x 8" web x .316" web thickness. These dimensions, the runs and lift heights must be verified in the field by the bidder. Field verification is for equipment fit and pendent/chain heights. The beam capacity has been independently verified by a CT licensed Professional Engineer. There are two (2) existing beams that require new hoists. One beam is over the front repair bays on the West end of the building. This beam is approximately 30 feet long and a 20-foot lift. The other beam is over the rear repair bays at the East end of the building. This beam is approximately 50 feet long and a 20-foot lift. The available power supply to the building includes 208/120 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz. It will be the City of Danbury's responsibility to provide the connection/break, as required, from the power source to hoist power strip. The two (2) motor chain hoists with motor trolley per these specifications are to be Konecranes or approved equal.
