2023 Jefferson County Road No.34-0.5 and 0.55 Slip Repair Project All bids must be accompa- nied by a BID GUARANTY in the form of (1) A CertifiedCheck, or Revocable Let- ter of Credit pursuant toChapter 1305, ORC, in anamount not less than tenpercent (10%) of the totalamount of base bid plusall alternates; or (2) a BidBond drawn upon an ac- ceptable Surety Company,for the full amount of thebid plus all alternates, onehundred percent (100%) ofthe bid, both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio RevisedCode. The bid guarantyshall be made unconditionally payable to the Boardof Commissioners of theCounty of Jefferson, Stateof Ohio. All bid guaranteesshall be conditioned that ifthe bid is accepted withinsixty (60) days of the bidopening, a proper contractshall be executed and thatupon failure or refusal toenter into said contractwithin ten (10) days afterreceipt of notification ofaward the bidder and thesurety on any bond shall beliable to the County in anamount not to exceed ten(10%) percent of the bid. Upon rejection of any bid,the Bid guaranty shallforthwith be returned to theunsuccessful bidder, uponthe acceptance of a bid,the bid Guaranty shall bereturned to the successfulbidder upon the proper ex- ecution and securing of theContract. Each individual employedby the Contractor or anySub-Contractor and en- gaged in work on the proj- ect under this Contractshall be paid the PrevailingWage established by theDepartment of IndustrialRelations of the State ofOhio. This shall occur regardless of any contractual relationship which maybe said to exist betweenthe Contractor or anySub-Contractor and suchindividual. Each bid submitted musthave a copy of a currentEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO) Certificate ofCompliance as evidencethat this contractor is certified by the State EqualEmployment Opportunity Coordinator. The Board of Commis- sioners of the County ofJefferson, State of Ohio,reserves the right to ac- cept or reject any and allproposals and to waive allinformalities. The Boardof Commissioners of theCounty of Jefferson, Stateof Ohio, may reject any orall of the bids on any basis and without disclosureof a reason. The failure tomake such a disclosureshall not result in accrual ofany right, claim, or cause ofaction by an unsuccessfulbidder against the Countyof Jefferson.
