Renovation of an educational facility in Utica, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from firms to provide full Construction Manager (CM) Agency - Services for the Renovate Campus Center project at the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute, Utica Campus. This Project is for a phased interior rehabilitation of the Campus Center on the Utica Campus of SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The building was originally constructed in 1987, with subsequent renovations to the dining hall and health center. The building interior areas that have not yet been renovated are worn, and do not meet current needs. The swimming pool area has been decommissioned. Mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems are nearing the ends of their useful lives. Entrance doors and sidelight glazing are at the end of their useful lives. This Project will renovate approximately 68,000 square feet (55%) of the building, Including infilling the swimming pool area and renovate the lobby, gymnasium, locker rooms and athletic support spaces of the Campus Center. Renovations include the creation of several multi use classrooms, student support and activities areas including Residential Life offices. Provide structural infill for the swimming pool and insert a second-floor structure in this 2-story space. Provide a new stairway and elevator which serves the newly renovated spaces. Replace existing mechanical systems, including a new geothermal well field. Provide new interior construction, including lighting, HVAC distribution, partitions & finishes. Limited exterior envelope improvements. Heating and cooling of renovated spaces will be served by a new ground sourced heat pump system. Submissions should emphasize the firms significant past experience in providing CM services for public institution and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner.
