The Unit W Wastewater Interceptor is a gravity collection pipeline that originates near The Oaks Mall and transports a large volume of wastewater following an access road and traversing the Arroyo Conejo creek to the HCTP . The pipeline was installed in the 1960s and improvements have been made over the decades. In the lower portion of the interceptor, the original 1960s Unit W pipeline consists of a 30-inch diameter pressurized pipeline with two major wastewater access structures (Structure W-1 & Structure W/F) that enable the wastewater interceptors to be controlled and accessed by staff. The Work consists of furnishing all plant, tools, equipment, materials, labor, supplies, and manufactured articles for the Project, as shown by the plans (Drawing Number 21-20A, sheets 1-13), Specifications, and Contract Documents. It includes the furnishing of all transportation and services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, perform closed circuit television (CCTV) internal pipeline work, removal of existing isolation valves, installation of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) replacement isolation valves, comply with regulatory permits, restore site, construct and remove bypass and appurtenances, and for the performance of all labor, work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. Estimate Amount: $4,000,000 Question Deadline 12/11/2024 at 5:00 PM PT The Work consists of: 1. Replacements as shown in the Contract Documents of valves, appurtenances, and construction of new access manways. 2. Furnishing, installing, and maintaining bypass system and tee access to existing pipelines to perform the cleaning and CCTV inspections of the pipelines and structures per the Construction Drawings. 3. Remove, replace, and reconstruct treatment plant access road pavement, where shown on Drawings. 4. Coordinate with treatment plant personnel for the operation of their valves, access to the site, and laydown and sewage disposal areas. 5. Install, maintain and remove the required creek crossings as needed to complete the Work. 6. Provide dewatering for all project trenches and excavations for the project. Perform the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of effective dewatering system(s) to assure a safe and dewatered condition of all trenches, pits, and stream crossing in which the work of this Contract will be performed. Handling, remove, and dispose of excess groundwater flow. Comply with agency requirements for dewatering. 7. Excavations may encounter removal and disposal of rocks/boulders. Include as part of work. B. The isolation valves for the project (non-bypass) have been purchased by the City and will be supplied to the Contractor to install as part of this project. C. See Specification 01 11 02 for permits necessary to complete the work. D.
