Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marietta, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of adding a five-foot wide sidewalk along the west side of Callaway Road, from Woodleigh Road to Al Bishop Drive and includes a pedestrian bridge across Olley Creek. The total length of the project is estimated at 1 mile. Cobb County Water System work is also included in the project. Project Duration: The time allowed for performance of the project will be 540 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. ALL NEW PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO PRE-REGISTER WITH COBB COUNTY FINANCE PRIOR TO BID CLOSING. The Complete Advertisement for Bids may be found online. Contractor must meet the current bid requirements of the Georgia Department of Transportation. Contractor and their subcontractors are required to be in compliance with the "Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act." Cobb County will affirmatively comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d - 42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21 Nondiscrimination Act(s). Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation and Small Business Participation in all DOT contracts is encouraged The Cobb County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject all Bids and waive any formalities.
