Subject to conditions prescribed by UC Davis Health, Facilities Design & Construction, sealed bids for a lump-sum contract are invited for the following work: PROJECT NO. M051038 MAIN HOSP D7 PEDS REHAB PROGRAM HCAI NO.: S220208-34-00 Description of Work: Remodel six rooms, 7702, 7704, 7705, 7712, 7714 and 1412 of BLD-01445 Davis Tower rooms to relocate Pediatric Rehab Program from the main hospital's North/South Wing, which is slated for decommissioning and requires vacating existing space by December 2023.The scope of work is primarily a finish refresh, air balance, minor relocation of power and data except for rooms 7712 and 7714 which will have the demising wall removed to create a single room as a residence workroom. The accessibility upgrades associated with this project are the provision of a detectable warning at a drinking fountain on the 7th floor and toilet room modifications being made on the 6th floor under Project No. 9559940 - Davis Tower 6 Pediatric Pharmacy. Bidder Qualifications: To be eligible for consideration of award, bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must submit the qualification documents as an attachment to the Bid Form. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: B-General Building. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wages at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. California Wage Determination (2022-2) Date: January 26, 2023 No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local working condition requirements.
