Project consist of milling and the placement of a binder and wearing courses totaling approximately 10,000 square yards of various Borough Roads under the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. 2023-01 2023 PAVING CONTRACT No documents will be distributed without the correct deposit, ordering and bidding requirements. Bids may not qualify any of the specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty, which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The form of the guaranty shall be in accordance with the type permitted under the contract documents. No bid guaranty shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with the requirements as set forth in the contract documents or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Work under this Contract is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (1961 August 15, PL 987; P.S. 166) and subsequent amendments. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
This project consists of the milling and paving of a number of Borough streets in miscellaneous areas.
Nought Street - includes approximately 315 SY of scratch/leveling course with 1.5" wearing course placement.
5 th Avenue (2 nd Street to 3 rd Street) - includes approximately 2,590 SY of milling 1" to brick,1.5" wearing course and subbase repairs.
5 th Avenue to (6 th Street to Mine Street) - includes approximately 775 SY of 4.5" milling, 3" binder, and 1.5" wearing course and subbase repairs.
6 th Avenue (13 th Street to 18 th Street) - includes approximately 4,685 SY of milling 1.5" ,1.5" wearing course and subbase repairs.
8 th Avenue (Harvey Run first 100 feet) - includes approximately 225 SY of milling 6" and the placement of 4" of binder and 2" of wearing courses.
5 th Avenue (from 5 th Street to 6 th Street) - includes approximately 650 SY of 4.5" milling including brick removal, 1.5" wearing course, 3" binder, proofrolling and subbase repairs. Paving shall be located on lower southbound lane approximately 300 feet starting at 5 th Street.
11 th Street (6 th Avenue to 8 th Avenue) - includes approximately 905 SY 4.5" milling with brick removal, proofrolling, 3" of binder and 1.5 wearing course and subbase repairs.
Contractor to provide maintenance and protection of traffic.
Contractor to reinstall any line markings or painting as incidental work.
The Borough reserves the right to adjust the Borough streets within the project. The contractor will not be permitted to adjust pricing based on any adjustment in streets
