Renovation of a transportation facility in Greer, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District (District) is requesting proposals for the design and construction of a new air cargo transfer deck system to be built within the GSP Air Cargo Facility located at 3090 Gateway Drive Suite 2 Greer, SC 29651 and the relocation of existing ball deck. A description of the requirements is included in this RFP. The District desires a turn-key solution from the awarded Firm that provides design, sourcing/manufacturing, permitting, installation and assembly of a new, fully functioning air cargo transfer deck system. The awarded Firm must also inventory, disassemble, transport and re-install an existing ball deck system (currently located in the same warehouse) for integration with the new system. The District reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities in the proposals, or to negotiate with the Firm if and when, in the District's sole discretion, the District deems that to be in its best interest. The primary function of the final transfer deck system will be the storage of "built" Unit Load Devices (ULDs) prior to break down or after build up. The secondary function will be the movement of "built" ULDs (up to PGA size - 96 inches by 238.5 inches) between airside apron to landside dock doors within the Air Cargo Facility. 1. I nstallation of New Transfer Deck. The central feature of the Project will be a single section of elevated (air cargo dolly height - approximately 20.5 inches above floor/ground level) new air cargo transfer deck (See "Exhibit A"). The new transfer deck (together with relocated ball deck referenced below) will span from two adjoining landside truck docks to a single airside roll up door of the air cargo warehouse terminating outside the buildingvia a "hammerhead" that will hold 4 PMC (96" x 125") ULDs. The new portion of the transfer deck will measure approximately 2,500 square feet. The warehouse floor will be free of obstructions except for bollards protecting 1 airside roll up door and roof support columns spaced every 50 feet. 2. Disassembly, relocation and reassembly of Existing Ball Deck and Dock Lifts. Approximately 1,200 square feet of serviceable and functioning ball deck, along with two dock lifts, diamond plate decking and ancillary equipment (See "Exhibit B") must be disassembled, transported and reassembled in its final location at 3090 Gateway Drive in conjunction with the new transfer deck. New and relocated existing systems must integrate and function properly together. The associated dock pit dimensions are 30 feet by 23 feet by 39 inches (depth measured from warehouse floor level) (See "Exhibit C"). The pit is designed for two dock lifts at adjoining truck docks. 3. Add Alternate # 1: Add alternate feature # 1 of the Project would include a new section of transfer deck to be installed inside a separate room within the same facility measuring approximately 1,000 square feet (See "Exhibit D"). The room is accessible via a standard pedestrian door and a 16-foot-wide airside rollup door. Part of this task would include connecting the new section (inside the room) with the existing airside "hammerhead" located outside and adjoining the room. 4. Add Alternate # 2: Add alternate feature # 2 would include filling the existing dock pit See "Exhibit D") with specified cementitious materials (See "Exhibit E") after disassembly, relocation and reassembly of the existing Ball Deck and Dock Lifts, restoration to match adjoining docks including RHA-4000 6LXW (F) 16" Lip dock levelers, light communication system, DOK Commander and dock bumpers (See "Exhibit F") and removal of buried Ibeams (for existing floating dock bumpers).
