* Awarded contractor is not being released. Winnipeg's Union Station is a large, Heritage, Beaux-Arts-style railway terminal constructed in 1908 and is located at 123 Main Street in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. As part of the previous project - Winnipeg Platform and Annex Upgrade, the active Platform surfaces on the Bridge structure in the Train Shed were replaced. As part of the current project, VIA plans to proceed with the replacement of the on-grade Platform 3 (serving tracks 4 and 5) and Platform 4 (serving track 6) that are in poor condition. While on the Railway property, you will be required to wear a safety hat, safety glasses, reflective apparel (safety vest) and safety boots in accordance with the Railway's regulations as stated in "Safety Guidelines for Contractors." The potential Tenderers must be present for the Safety Briefing prior to entering the VIA Right-of-Way.
