Allegany College of Maryland is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to complete a design/build project geared toward converting an approximately 1200 sq ft metal building into a SMART Apartment for use by College's Occupation Therapy Assistant Program as a simulation area on our Cumberland campus in Cumberland, Maryland. As part of this project the contractor will provide all drawings, specifications, and construction services necessary to meet the requirements and expectations put forth by the College. This will be a "turn-key" project, in which the contractor will take the project from design through construction. Board Meeting / Contractor Selection - March 20 th , 2023 Notice to Proceed - March 21 st , 2023 Submission of Plans and Specifications - March 21 st , 2023 The project completion date of June 30 th , 2023 that was mentioned in the above estimated project schedule is the absolute latest completion date that the College can offer the contractor on this project, due to funding restrictions. Any work that takes place on the project after this date will result in liquidated damages of two hundred dollars ($200.00) per day. Award of the bid will be at a later date after an analysis of all proposals. Allegany College of Maryland reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and request other proposals. Allegany College of Maryland reserves the right to accept any proposal it feels is in the best interest of the College.
