Port Tampa Bay (PTB) is advertising for Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified Respondents interested in providing engineering services for Berth 301 Design Services to the PTB on an as-needed basis as defined by the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA). This project involves the design and permitting for a wharf at Berth 301 on the Port Redwing site. The wharf is proposed to be approximately 500 feet long and will adjoin with Berth 302. The wharf will be accomplished by installing a sheet pile wall & tie back system, and back filling behind the wall for the wharf paving. Consultant is expected to analyze and offer alternatives for most effective design. Additional components to the wharf will be high wind bollards, fenders, and utilities including wharf lighting. The consultant chosen will also be responsible for the following items: project management, geotechnical/subsurface investigation, conceptual to 100% design plans, mooring and berthing analysis, permitting, all environmental and ecological services, and all aspects of design (civil, structural, utilities, and electrical). Expected permits required will be FDEP, ACOE, PTB and Hillsborough County. Consultant team shall have the ability to provide mitigation alternatives (if required) to offset any project ecological impacts including have the ability to design mitigation site(s). Deliverables will be 100% bid plans and specifications: all design analyses and reports, estimates, and acquisition of permits from all required agencies. This project is partially funded through a Federal RAISE grant as administered through the US Department of Transportation Maritime Administration. Consultants and their subcontractors are to comply with Federal guidelines associated with the grant. All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the Tampa Port Authority Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person.
