Renovation of a mixed-use development in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Spartanburg County School District Six will accept proposals from qualified firms to provide necessary equipment, software, supplies and training for a Lightning Detection System for the district. All questions must be addressed to Ryan Henkes (rhenkes@spart6.org). Deadline for questions is 5pm on February 3, 2023. 1) The Lightning and Storm Detection Warning and Mapping Software System should include the following: A minimum of 250 user Proximity email/text/push notification alerts for lightning and severe weather based on radius from each District 6 location. Automatic interactive radius rings for lightning alerts. Proximity email/text/push notifications for an advanced early warning alert to notify of high intensity thunderstorms as an indicator of other types of severe weather ahead of National Weather Service (NWS) Alerts for tornado, high wind, hail, extreme temperatures, and Wet Bulb Globe Temperature. Automated email/text/push notifications for countdown timer when lightning has moved out of the radius of concern. Automated depiction of an estimated arrival time of a storm cell with time stamp and color indications of storm intensity to help determine the amount of time before the storm cell arrives at a facility location. Additional visual mapping layers: Surface observations of global weather station network, real-time lightning data, Radar, Forecasted Radar, Forecasted Precipitation and Snow amounts, Snow and Freezing Rain Probability Forecast. Global access to weather stations around the area for surface observation alerts (temperature, heat index, wind, precipitation, etc.). Global access to lightning data to better determine the context of a storm cell: direction, speed, and intensity. Provide the ability to chat with a professional meteorologist 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Wirelessly syncs with social media, Spartanburg County School District 6 website, facility speakers and/or scoreboards. 2) Alert Subscription for each individual Spartanburg County School District 6 locations should include: Access of network-based lightning data to the lightning alert system Access to web and mobile application based automatic countdown clock to determine the time remaining for the Alert period with an automatic reset of the timer with each strike within the allotted radius. The countdown clock shall be able to be embedded into a website. Live lightning tracking and alerts with adjustable mile ranges for each location. 3) Daily briefing alert for Regional Weather Outlook should include: An alert sent out for expected weather alerts for the Southeastern Region and all Spartanburg County School District 6 locations (ie; Extreme temperatures, thunderstorms, WBGT, etc.). 4) Siren - Outdoor Alerting System with Horn and Light for each Spartanburg County School District 6 location. Run on Solar Power Provide an automatic distinct audible alert via a horn to notify each facility of approaching lightning. Provide an automatic distinct audible alert via a horn to signify the end of the Alert period and the start of the All-Clear. Provide an automatic visual alert via a strobe light to notify each facility of approaching lightning. Allow for continued flashing of strobe light indicating continued delay due to lightning being inside the determined radius. Automatically turn off the strobe light at the end of the Alert period and the start of the All-Clear. Customizable audible alert system via a horn to notify each facility of severe weather or emergency situation without loss of audible horn Adjustable alert times for audible alert and strobe light. 5) Power Saving Battery Backup for each Spartanburg County School District 6 Location 6) Wireless Data Wireless data system for each Outdoor Alerting System Tower District Site Access Contractor's personnel must wear an identification badge as approved by the District and shall utilize the procedures authorized by the District to obtain access to District buildings. The District requires Contractor's personnel to enter through the front office.
